Full Automation PackageThe Full Automation Package removes operator dependence and allows for unattended measurements of dilute solution viscosity. As in the Semi-Automation package, the ARV software interfaces with the analytical balance and guides the operator through weighing out the sample. The vial containing sample without solvent is closed and placed in the Vortex Autosampler. Next, the ARV software instructs the Vortex Autosampler to dispense the solvent into the vial, heat and mix the sample according to the established method, and then draw the sample into the DSV instrument for measurement and data capture. This gives enhanced safety in solvent dispensing and removes operator dependence as a measurement variable.

If the sample is required to remain above room temperature during the transfer between the Vortex Autosampler and the Relative Viscometer (both of which have heating capabilities to 150 degrees Celsius), then please inquire about the High Temperature Option for the Full Automation Package. This includes a Heated Transfer Line and a modified liquid flow path inside the Relative Viscometer to ensure that the sample stays at the proper temperature while being transferred from the Vortex Autosampler and the Relative Viscometer.
