DSV Demo Videos

We have produced demonstration videos to help prospective customers determine which Y501 system best meets their analytical needs.  These videos show the level of automation and performance of each Y501 package that was described on the DSV Packages webpage.

​Manual Package
This package includes a Data System, dual syringe pump (only one syringe is actually used), and Y501 relative viscometer.  This package assists the user in running samples, but does not assist in sample preparation.  The demonstration video shows the Manual Package running a sample sequence. 



​Autosampler Package

This package includes a Data System, Autosampler, dual syringe pump (only one syringe is actually used), and Y501 relative viscometer.  This package automatically runs samples, but does not assist in sample preparation.  The demonstration video shows the Autosampler Package running a sample sequence. 



​Semi-Automated Sample Preparation Package

This package includes a Data System, analytical balance, Autosampler, dual syringe pump, and Y501 relative viscometer.  This package assists the user in weighing samples/dispensing solvent and automatically runs samples.  The demonstration video shows the Semi-automated Sample Preparation Package dispensing solvent and running a sample sequence. 



​Full Automation Package
This package includes a Data System, analytical balance, Vortex Autosampler, dual syringe pump, and Y501 relative viscometer.
​This package is the highest level of automation that we offer.
​It assists the user in weighing samples.  It then automatically dispenses solvent, dissolves the sample by mixing and heating for a specified time interval, and runs samples.  The Vortex Autosampler mixes samples with 12 mm x 4 mm stir bars and can heat samples to temperatures up to 160 degrees C.  The demonstration video shows the Full Automation Package preparing samples and running a sample sequence.
