On-Site Repair
If your Linkoptik system is not functioning properly, a service engineer can come on-site to repair the instrument. During an initial troubleshooting phase, we will contact you, study the recent data files, and make a best effort over email/phone to pinpoint the root cause of the instrument failure. The service engineer can then transport the correct parts to the site to repair the instrument. However, it is always possible that the root cause was misdiagnosed or that there were other problems that were not detected during the troubleshooting phase. In this case, the service engineer can attempt to repair the instrument with available parts on-site from their service kit, or the service engineer may recommend shipping the instrument to our depot center.
Depot Repair
If your Linkoptik system is not functioning properly, the instrument can be shipped to our depot center for repair. If you do not have the original packing materials, we can ship an empty box with shipping foam so that the instrument is properly protected during shipping. If you need a replacement instrument to handle your sample load while the instrument is being repaired, we have units available for short-term rental (minimum rental period of 3 months). At the depot, the malfunctioning instrument will be thoroughly inspected, diagnosed, repaired, and tested before being shipped back.
Premium Service Contract
In order to ensure maximum uptime for your Linkoptik system, we offer Premium Service Contracts with a guaranteed 48-hour response time. The Premium contract may be offered with on-site service or involve the use of a “hot-swap” system. In the hot-swap situation, we will send you a loaner unit which can be used as a replacement for the malfunctioning system. Once the loaner is installed, the malfunctioning unit would be returned to our depot center where it would be inspected, diagnosed, repaired and tested before being shipped back to you.
