Spraylink Spray
Particle Size Analyzer

Spray particle size and its control determine the final quality of many products, such as drug delivery by inhalation and nasal spray, fuel sprays, aerosols, fuel efficiency evaluations for rocket launches and nozzle research within the energy and chemical industries. High-speed movement of spray particles with wide particle size ranges and the irregularity of the spray pattern requires high adaptability and high-speed diffraction signal processing capability for spray particle size analysis systems. Spraylink has been specifically designed to meet these challenges.

 Spraylink Spray Particle Size Analyzer

The Spraylink system delivers routine, accurate and precise spray particle size measurement in the size range of 0.1 µm to 2080 µm with no need for a lens change. It integrates an optimized high-sensitivity detection and holographic signal processing system, combined with high-concentration compensation technology, which greatly reduces the effect of multiple diffraction during the measurement of high-concentration spray of up to 90% obscuration.

The Spraylink Optical System IP65-rated Transmitter and Receiver Units are mounted on an optical bench. It includes a multi-element silicon photo-diode array, rapid data acquisition system, optical auto-align stage, one output TTL trigger to control external devices, one input TTL trigger to synchronize measurements with other devices and USB/optical fiber connection to a computer. Data Acquisition Rate of up to 10kHz.

Spraylink software provides a user-friendly graphical interface for controlling all aspects of a spray measurement with full measurement automation. Results include high concentration analysis, a real-time display providing a size-history of the measured spray event, data averaging, data searching and sorting facilities. The software can also be operated as a stand-alone utility for post-measurement analysis work away from the instrument.
> 10kHz maximum acquisition rate, perform 10000 measurements per second and capture the dynamics of size change in every 0.1ms interval
> Unique lens configuration and optimized optics enable measurements over large working ranges
> Measurement across a wide range (0.1-2080um) with no need for optics change
> The newest algorithm ensures accurate particle size distributions can be measured at high obscuration
> Rapid auto-alignment
> Lens protection with air purging
> Customizable optical bench arrangement
> Measurement synchronization via flexible triggering options
> Stable construction and full metal cover and optical bench design
>I nstantaneous playback of size history and frame-by-frame event analysis
> Analysis of the dynamic changes of particle size distribution with time
> Overlay of results at different time point
